But if you just stick with the simple organizational purpose and structure of communism, there's no denying what the Democrat Party is.  Liberalism, socialism, what have you.  Centralized government, command-and-control economy, usurpation of individual liberty and freedom.  It's the objective.  What people have trouble getting their arms around is the purpose.  You talk to average, ordinary, low-information voters and you try to convince them of all this, the first question they have is: "Why do people want to do that?" 

"Well, they want to control you!"

"Well, why? What's worth that? Why would anybody want to control me?"

It's hard for people who are not communists to relate to the communist dream.  It's hard for people who aren't to understand why anybody would want to be.  'Cause there's nothing good about it, so why would anybody want it?  The only people for whom it's good are the rank-and-file elites who lead it, who run it.  And, for them, it's simply a way to organize the legal theft of a nation's wealth, pure and simple.

And in order to get away with the thievery of the nation's wealth, you will have to have massive, total control. Punitive control. You have to make people docile, you have to make people complacent, you have to do it certain ways (unusually fear) to make them go along with being stolen from.  The worst thing for you as a communist leader is a bunch of people who don't want it to stand up and oppose you.  That's when you have to go grab the guns.

To a person that understands the English language most words have different meanings. Red is not blue, left is not right, and so on. There are synonyms and they can basically be interchanged. Red is crimson, but it is still not blue. Left is portside, but it is still not right.

Limbaugh really is a big fat idiot if he thinks that the words he uses to describe Democrats are synonyms. The words fascist, liberal, Democrat, socialism, and communist do not mean the same thing. They are not interchangeable. For someone who utters so many words a day, Limbaugh could at least use them properly, he really needs to consult a dictionary.

Let's look at the word "liberal". Here are the synonyms that thesaurus.com lists:

enlightened, flexible, humanistic, lenient, permissive, radical, reformist, tolerant, avant-garde, broad, catholic, free, general, humanitarian, latitudinarian, left, libertarian, rational, understanding, advanced, broad-minded, high-minded, indulgent, intelligent, interested, loose, magnanimous, reasonable, receiving, receptive, unbiased, unbigoted, unconventional, unorthodox, unprejudiced

There is nothing about "Centralized government, command-and-control economy, usurpation of individual liberty and freedom". There is nothing about "punitive control". What is wrong with being a liberal? Liberals are not prejudiced, they are reasonable, receptive, rational, tolerant. When did these become bad things?

Here are the antonyms for the word "liberal":

intolerant, limited, narrow, specific, conservative, economical, greedy, lacking, mean, narrow-minded, poor, thrifty, ungenerous, wanting

Some of those words describe Limbaugh quite well. He is intolerant, limited, narrow, conservative, lacking, mean, narrow-minded, ungenerous, and wanting. In other words he is not a liberal.

The antonyms for communist are:

capitalist, fascist, conservative

Limbaugh does not know what he is talking about.

If only the liberals could silence him...

But then they wouldn't be liberals anymore. Then they actually would be fascists.

Thanks to Rush Limbaugh I think I have this whole climate change thing figured out.

If you're like Rush and you don't believe anyone but yourself you can use Rush's technique and then claim it as your own.

The simplest way to understand climate change is to look out your window. That's it. If it is snowing, then climate change doesn't exist. Therefore it is only logical that if it is not snowing, then climate change does exist.

Here is an example. Today the midwest has blizzard conditions and has to deal with a storm named "Kayla". Therefore, for this area of the United States climate change is definitely real. Meanwhile for the citizens of Toronto, Canada, climate change is not real since it currently not snowing and the high temperature forecast for today is 41 degrees. And that is good old American degrees, not that weird foreign Celsius stuff.

It's nice, and so easy, being a simpleton.

The media says that Rush scares away 24 year old women? That seems mighty specific. I think that Limbaugh repulses men and women of all ages.

Rush should take a college course in statistics. One person is a mighty tiny sample to be boasting about.

I guess it shouldn't surprise me that the caller refers to his wife as a girl. Obviously, she's no feminazi.

Oh No!!! Rush Is Kinda Sorta Making Sense

Here is Rush Limbaugh talking about last nights GOP debate:

Well, that's the larger point here is that I've had it said to me if once it's been 10 times, that people are a little worn out with these debates ending up being debates between the moderators and the candidates, not the debates between the candidates and the candidates themselves.  And it comes across as gotcha.  And of course the moderators say, "No, our job is to vet these people for you.  Our job is to expose them."

I kinda, sorta agree with Mr. Limbaugh. The debates are not really debates, they are question and answer sessions.

However, let's look at what is missing here.

First: Megyn Kelly is a woman. She asks the candidates "hard" questions and makes them look stupid. Using his dog-whistle Rush does tell us that she should be put in her place. I tend to believe that Rush wouldn't be so upset if the moderator was a man. By the way, Donald Trump is a women-hating chicken.

Second: The debates actually used to be debates. The League of Women Voters used to sponsor the debates. Now we have The Commission on Presidential Debates (notice the doublespeak name), and now we no longer have debates. Also, no more third party candidates allowed. The Commission on Presidential Debates "was created by and for the Republican and Democratic parties and often submits to their nominees’ wishes at the expense of voter education." By the way, Donald Trump is a women-hating chicken.

Third: A smart person is unlikely to fall for a "gotcha" question. Hillary Clinton comes to mind. (I'm not a big fan.) Also, I tend to think that "gotcha" questions don't exist, because a smart person would not get "got". By the way, Donald Trump is a women-hating chicken.

I don't know how Mr. Limbaugh feels about it, but I would rather keep the journalists out of the debates. I would rather see someone who has actual experience moderating debates be the moderator. Do university professors still do this? By the way, did I mention that Donald Trump is a women-hating chicken?

The sun is shining. I don't know what that means. I need Rush Limbaugh to tell me what to think. I trust Rush on this because he has no degree in any science field. I trust Rush because he has no college degree of any kind. I trust Rush because he is one of the one percent of scientists who do not believe in climate change. The End Of Snow? But It Snowed Once In NYC Herd Mentality

It all started about two years ago when the features editor at Powder magazine and the author of “Deep: The Story of Skiing and the Future of Snow” wrote an Opinion piece for the NYT. Porter Fox is not a scientist and the "End of Snow?" was more about being a skier and winter sports enthusiast than it was about climate change.

Well, which is absolutely flat-out ridiculous. It is worse than journalistic malpractice.

It was not a story, it was an opinion piece by someone who does not work at the NYT! The NYT was not "serious about 'the end of snow' because of climate change and global warming," Porter Fox was! How can this be "capitalizing and politicizing everything" on the part of the NYT? It was an opinion piece, from the paper that publishes David Brooks and Ross Douthat! How can an opinion piece written by someone who does not work at the NYT be "journalistic malpractice?" If someone tried to sue the NYT about this they would be laughed out of court. Why isn't Rush Limbaugh laughed off of the airwaves?

Then others jumped on The "End of Snow?" But It Snowed Once In NYC Herd Mentality bandwagon following Limbaugh's "leadership" of taking what Porter Fox wrote out of context and confusing him for a corporation.

Climate changers shocked and puzzled by snow in January and So Much for the End of Snow...

More will probably follow, even as the temperature rises and all the snow melts.

This is a story from February 7th of 2014. I wonder how many people will remember this. February 7, 2014, two years ago coming up on two years ago, the headline, New York Times: "The End of Snow?"

"Over the next two weeks, hundreds of millions of people will watch Americans like Ted Ligety and Mikaela Shiffrin ski for gold on the downhill alpine course. Television crews..." Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And they go to on talk about all the Olympic events that had to be canceled because of lack of snow, lack of snow is a big problem, lack of snow all over the world is because of climate change and global warming and could we be at the beginning of the end of no snow? The end of snow. "The same could happen in the United States, where in the Northeast, more than half of the 103 ski resorts may no longer be viable in 30 years because of warmer winters." The end of snow, New York Times, February 7th, 2014.

Using anecdotal evidence:

Using arguments such as "Wow, it's really cold today! Global warming, my ass!" or "See! It's snowing in Atlanta for the first time in years!" to argue that "global warming" misuses numerical data, since even without global warming, there are fluctuations in local temperatures. Global warming refers to an overall average increase in temperatures of air and water. Additionally, global warming will result in some local areas that are cooler, despite the global average increasing.

Strangely enough, this is a common argument used by Fox News and other right-wing organizations who often claim scientists are only using anecdotes of hot weather as proof of global warming when the exact opposite is true. Even more strange, when someone asks where the global warming is because it's snowing where they live, and someone else responds back with "It's 75 and sunny here, and I'm north of you and up in the mountains" there is often a lingering silence. Apparently anecdotal evidence isn't allowed to work both ways.

Rush Limbaugh cites a NYT article that was published February 7, 2014 that says "The same could happen in the United States, where in the Northeast, more than half of the 103 ski resorts may no longer be viable in 30 years because of warmer winters." Rush seems to not know the meaning of the word could. He also seems to think that the year is 2044.

“Now, it’s almost when you watch a nationally televised game with nationally known commentators you sit there, wait for it to come. If there’s a gun shooting, you wait for somebody at halftime to deliver you a sermon on it.”

I don't follow sports, so I don't have a clue as to what this is all about. If I did follow sports, I don't think I would have a clue as to what this is all about.

Why does the Republican Party have such a low opinion of so many American citizens? The answer is votes. And the dumber, crazier, and angrier The Republican machine can make the average American citizen become, the more votes they can get. Cutting funding for worthwhile government programs, especially education, helps to increase the Republican voter pool. It has become a cycle of more stupid, more crazy, and more angry. And the country slides even further down the pole.

Rush is ticked because everybody told him to be afraid of swine flu, and now it turns out that as pandemics go, the current strain of swine flu is probably less like a category 3 hurricane, and more like a category 1 or tropical storm. So what does Rush do? He blames the scientists:

I suppose that some scientists lie, especially those that are paid big bucks by corporations to do so. I would assume that Rush Limbaugh likes those scientists, just as he likes the politicians that lie the most.

It is one thing to accuse scientists of lying. It is another thing to accuse science of lying. Is it possible for science to lie? I don’t think so.

Mathematicians are capable of lying and telling us that two plus two equals five. Why one would choose to do this is a mystery to me. All the rest of the mathematicians would laugh him out his profession. Mathematicians are capable of lying, mathematics is incapable of lying. Two plus two equals four. Scientists are capable of lying, science is incapable of lying.

Why does Mr. Limbaugh attack science and scientists? If he wants to go after someone regarding this issue, why doesn’t he look inward and attack the media? After all who is responsible for most of the hype that is out there?

Sometimes science, like life, requires a little patience. Sometimes science, like life, doesn’t give us all the answers. Rush Limbaugh tries my patience, and provides me with no answers whatsoever. Is he simply ignorant or is he the one doing the lying?

Does Mr. Limbaugh think that radio is magic? Or does he think that the science that allows him to do his job every day is lying to him?

If Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin wish to return to the Dark Ages, fine. I refuse to follow them.
