Here's the thing -- even if Davis somehow manages to cling on to her job as county clerk, she'd still be in the position to break some Biblical rules. If someone who is divorced comes to her requesting a marriage license, and she grants it, the Bible says she may be helping them commit adultery.

Mark 10:11-12
