Meredith Vieira wouldn’t recognize a scoop if it bit her on the ass. Watch the Today Show video that this article links to. Scott McClellan tells Meredith Vieira that Bush authorized the leak of Valerie Plame Wilson’s identity and she just moves on to the next question without batting an eyelash. I could not believe her non-reaction the first time I saw this. I still can’t believe it.

Also in the clip McClellan describes the Bush administration as “good well intentioned people.” No reaction from Meredith Vieira. Torturous murderous thugs are not “good well intentioned people” Ms. Vieira.

During the interview, Scottie revealed the two things that really pissed him off with the Bush Administration. First, being set up to lie by Karl Rove and Scooter Libby. And second, learning that Bush had--himself--authorized the selective leaking of the NIE.
